Juan Soto Tests Positive For COVID-19

Washington Nationals star outfielder Juan Soto tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss tonight's season opener against the New York Yankees, ESPN's Jeff Passan reports.  He will also miss time until he can provide two negative test results

Last season, Soto hit .282 with 34 home runs, 110 RBI and 110 runs scored and also hit 5 home runs in the playoffs for the World Series Champion Nationals.

Juan Soto came to summer camp a few weeks late for undisclosed reasons. Washington Nationals general manager said Soto was asymptomatic and no one else on the roster was deemed ineligible following contact tracing.

Juan Soto has now been added to the MLB Baseball Positive Player List.
