Positive COVID-19 Test for a Cincinnati Reds Player

According to multiple sources, a Cincinnati Reds player tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.  The Reds played the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday and both teams were informed of the positive test after the game.  The player who tested positive has not been identified yet.

The weekend series between the Reds and the Pirates will most likely be postponed while they do more testing and contact tracing.  I will keep you updated if the name of the player who tested positive is revealed and if there are more positive tests for either team.

Here is the list of MLB players who have tested positive for coronavirus to date.

UPDATE - The Reds placed center fielder Nick Senzel on the injured list shortly after this without an explanation, so the assumption is that he was the player that tested positive, but it has not been confirmed by him or the team.
